A walk in Leigh Woods

On a rare dry day in the week before Christmas, we went on a wonderful walk in Leigh Woods. It was a very Bristolian experience, as it included a drive over the Clifton Suspension Bridge to get there. The woods themselves were lovely and much larger than I had expected. We got very lost, which was excellent. Well, actually, Nick says he knew where the carpark was all along, whereas I was just meandering on my merry way, with no idea how to get back! Matthew fell asleep in the backpack, for the first time ever! There were stick huts all around, squirrels and robins, and hot chocolate from the thermos halfway round. It was muddy and glorious.
